HELP IN SECURING AND ADMINISTRATING STATE TAX INCENTIVE PROGRAMS We are an official administrator of the state's tax incentive programs for St. Tammany Parish. If it's about enterprise zones, industrial tax exemptions, or jobs tax credits, we can help.
ZONING/PERMITTING COORDINATION WITH MUNICIPALITY & PARISH PLANNING OFFICIALS We can help work through the rezoning and permitting process with parish and/or city officials.
CURRENT DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION We are the source of the most up-to-date demographic information available about St. Tammany Parish and its municipalities.
REVOLVING LOAN FUND We offer short-term low interest financing to qualified businesses that will use the funds to create or retain jobs. This program is excellent for "gap" financing.
FREE BUSINESS COUNSELING Through an outreach program with the Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University, we offer free business counseling to new and existing businesses. Interested parties should contact STEDF to set up an appointment for these services.
SITE AVAILABILITY We stay in contact with commercial brokers and building owners, developing a database of available sites for relocation of your business.
SBA INFORMATION We have in-office information about the SBA loan program and other federal programs that may be of interest to area business.
ADVOCATION OF TARGETED LIGHT INDUSTRY Part of our mission is to recruit businesses to relocate in St. Tammany Parish. We attend trade shows and visit desirable companies, spreading the opportunities and benefits of choosing St. Tammany Parish, one of the fastest growing communities in the United States.
PUBLIC EDUCATION ABOUT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND ITS FUTURE IMPACT ON OUR COMMUNITY The STEDF is a spokesperson for smart business development in St. Tammany Parish. We host quarterly luncheons throughout the Parish to inform the business community of economic development issues affecting our Parish. We also host various seminars several times throughout the year.
