(MANDEVILLE, La.) – The Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC) honored the St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation (STEDF) with a communications award for its 2014 annual report, “Growing Together.”
The STEDF annual report received the “Award of Merit” in the medium division of SEDC’s annual Communications Awards. Mele Printing designed the publication.
Brenda Bertus, CEO of STEDF, accepted the award on July 27 at the annual SEDC conference in Savannah, Georgia.
“SEDC provides us with valuable regional partners and resources, helping our organization to establish benchmarks and standards of practice. We have been SEDC members for seven years, and in that time, we’ve won four communications awards. Communications and transparency continue to be a priority for us,” Bertus said.
Entries were judged based upon graphic appeal, clarity of message, quality of information, positioning/differentiation and format. Judges for the competition included economic development consultants, practitioners and design professionals from across the southern United States.
Julie Landry, communications specialist for STEDF, said, “Our efforts to connect with our partners and St. Tammany residents have been commended, and we’re excited to know we’re heading in the right direction. With each new success, we generate new ideas for outdoing ourselves!”
